π Getting Started
Welcome to apple-silicon-bench! This lightweight benchmarking tool lets you test the performance of your Apple Silicon devices, including M1, M2, M3, M4, and M5 chips. Measure your CPUβs single and multi-core performance, memory bandwidth, and disk I/O with ease.

To download the application, please visit the Releases page:

Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Click the link above to go to the Releases page.
- Look for the latest version listed at the top.
- In the Assets section, find the file for your system. Commonly, this file will be named something like
apple-silicon-bench-v1.0.pkg.
- Click on the file name to start your download.
- Once the download completes, open the file to begin the installation.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the installation.

To run apple-silicon-bench, you need:
- An Apple Silicon device (M1, M2, M3, M4, or M5)
- At least 4 GB of RAM
- macOS 11.0 or later
- Approximately 100 MB of free disk space

- Launch the Application: After installation, find the apple-silicon-bench icon in your Applications folder. Double-click it to open.
- Run a Benchmark: Choose the benchmark type you want to run: CPU, Memory, or Disk. Click the corresponding button.
- View the Results: After the benchmark completes, your results will appear on the screen. You will see clear metrics for each test.
Example Results:
- CPU Single-Core: 1500 points
- CPU Multi-Core: 6500 points
- Memory Bandwidth: 25 GB/s
- Disk I/O Performance: 1.5 GB/s
